At our Studio, this work is approached with calm, care, and intention. Whether you are refining a gown purchased here, restyling a family heirloom, or bringing in a dress from another boutique, your gown is treated with the same attention given to custom creations.
"Every alteration follows a clear philosophy. Your gown should feel like it was always meant for you"
• Gowns purchased at Sophia Sierra Bridal Studio
• Gowns from other boutiques or online shops
• Vintage and heirloom gowns
• Sample sale or off-the-rack dresses
• Veils, capes, and detachable pieces
• Gown adjustments for maternity or postpartum
First Fitting
We review your gown, discuss your vision, and pin and sculpt it to your measurements. You’ll receive a detailed quote and timeline at this appointment. We recommend scheduling your first fitting three to four months before your wedding. Once alterations begin, we advise maintaining your current diet and workout routine to ensure a consistent fit for future fittings.
Second Fitting
Your gown bodice is already sculpted and minor adjustments could be made. We will proceed to mark the hem and recommend bustle styles and options for you to choose.
Final Fitting and Pickup
We complete a final check of the bodice and hem to ensure everything fits and feels just right. You’ll then review all final details with your assigned specialist and receive a hands-on tutorial on how to bustle your gown, along with care instructions and final styling notes.
We also provide complimentary steaming for every gown altered at our studio.
